Fun Halloween games for kids
1. Pumpkin Bowling
- Materials Needed:
- Mini pumpkins (one per player)
- 6-10 empty cans or plastic bottles
- Black paint or Halloween-themed stickers
- How to Play:
- Paint or decorate the cans/bottles to look spooky.
- Stack them in a pyramid shape.
- Have each player roll a mini pumpkin toward the pyramid to knock down as many as possible.
- The player who knocks down the most wins!
2. Mummy Wrap
- Materials Needed:
- Rolls of toilet paper (one per team)
- Timer or stopwatch
- How to Play:
- Divide kids into teams of two.
- One player is the mummy, and the other is the wrapper.
- On “Go!”, the wrapper has to wrap their teammate in toilet paper from head to toe.
- The first team to fully wrap their mummy or the most wrapped after the time is up wins!
3. Witch Hat Ring Toss
- Materials Needed:
- Witch hats (you can use paper cones or real hats)
- Glow-in-the-dark rings or regular rings
- How to Play:
- Set up the witch hats in a row on the ground.

- The player who gets closest to the center of the web wins!
5. Pumpkin Patch Stomp
- Materials Needed:
- Orange balloons
- Small candies or prizes
- Marker
- How to Play:
- Fill balloons with candies/prizes and inflate them.
- Draw pumpkin faces on the balloons or use the template below
- Scatter the balloons around a designated area.
- On “Go!”, kids stomp on the balloons to pop them and collect the prizes inside!
6. Ghostly Musical Chairs
- Materials Needed:
- Chairs (one less than the number of players)
- Spooky music
- How to Play:
- Set up chairs in a circle, facing outward.
- Play spooky music as the kids walk around the chairs.
- When the music stops, players must quickly sit in a chair.
- The player left standing is out, and one chair is removed. Continue until one player remains!
7. Eyeball Spoon Race
- Materials Needed:
- Plastic spoons (one per player)
- Ping pong balls painted like eyeballs
- How to Play:
- Give each player a spoon with an eyeball on it.
- Players must race from the start to the finish line without dropping the eyeball.
