Welcome to the world of educational cartoons for children, where fun meets learning.
As a parent, we all want good cartoons for children that are educational but also something that brings joy and fun in children’s lives.
The cartoons that I’ve selected here are best for toddlers and preschoolers. But also good for older children.
Remember that when choosing cartoon is about choosing characters that can instil emotional development, empathy, friendship and also problem solving.
So it’s important to find cartoon shows where the character actually faces challenges and then overcome those challenges.
Best cartoon for children that are fun and educational
As a parent, we always, always want to try to do the best for our children and sometimes we get away of that by making decisions for them. As a result, our children might be a little bit confused and one big thing that I’ve seen recently is parents saying no to screen time.
This still amazes me up to today because the word here that we’re trying to look for is balance. We can always choose the best and the good type of screen time for our children, I must say that watching the right TV shows have helped my children spark conversations that otherwise would not happen.
She has asked me questions because out of curiosity from the characters but also from the plot itself and for my younger child. She has even learned her counting and colors much faster and we used that. As a learning tool.

How to introduce cartoons to your toddler?
I’m not going to deny the fact that orders are spending more time watching television can sound a little bit scary, but I’m also not going to deny there are some really amazing cartoon shows for toddlers.
I’m not talking about their typical CocoMelon or Bebe Finn, I’m rather talking about educational shows that actually teaches them about different things like love, empathy, imagination and creativity and for older children, maths and science even included.
When choosing the right cartoon for your children, make sure that you set a time limit and for younger children, you can always set a timer next to them so when they know that the timer goes off, it’s time for them to switch off their show. Introduce this early on so that there are no conflicts.
When it comes to screen time but also be mindful if the timer goes off and they are just about two minutes to the end the show then let them get the extra time.

Quick tip when using YouTube with children
I have tested YouTube for kids and I do think it is definitely much safer than the main YouTube platform. However, I still do not like a lot of the content on YouTube for kids, for example, I am not a fan unboxing toy videos.
So what I do is I download all the videos from YouTube into the YouTube and put the device on airplane mode when my daughter wants to watch something on YouTube. This will stop her from clicking on other videos I do not want her to watch.
